Scenes From Strathclyde

Scenes From Strathclyde is my Masters Creative Project, which blends photography and audio recording into a document of the towns and cities within the wider Strathclyde region.

The project comprises of a series of still images taken on analogue equipment (with digital stills taken as backup), with the audio component comprising a series of short (1 to 2 minute) wild track recordings from the exact spot the photograph(s) were taken.

For final project submission, the photos and audio have been edited together into video sequences that will allow the viewer to look at the photos and hear the audio simultaneously in an audio-visual experience. You can view these under the ‘video edits’. You can also view the photographs and listen to the ambient audio standalone on ‘The Scenes From Strathclyde’ sub-page.

Finally, as with most audio & visual productions, there’s a couple of extra bits and outtakes that you’ll be able to browse under ‘Outtakes & Extras’.

Many thanks go to Michael Park from BeQuiet Media for his assistance in chauffeuring me around the west of Scotland and his audio engineering skills. It’s safe to say this project would have been difficult to produce otherwise!
